Our Beginnings

It all started in the spring of 2013, when 35 individuals from various churches came together, united by a shared vision to heal and transform the struggling parts of our community. This collaboration sparked the initiative "Take the City," a movement that quickly grew beyond its initial scope. What began as a single event of prayer and outreach blossomed into a continuous effort, gaining momentum and expanding its reach each month.

Historical Milestones

• Revival on the River
  Just one year after our inception, we hosted our inaugural Revival on the River, drawing over 2,500 attendees and solidifying our place as a catalyst for community change.

• Becoming a Non-Profit
  Energized by our early successes, we established ourselves as a non-profit in 2015, pledging to continue our core missions of prayer, worship, and community outreach.

• Property and Community Development
  Our mission took a tangible form in 2017 when we were unexpectedly gifted 27 properties. This blessing enabled us to physically rebuild parts of the city—turning neglected spaces into vibrant community hubs.

Local Impact

Harvest Coffee and Redeem Boutique, both sited at our missions base on 2nd Avenue, exemplify our commitment to local service. These centers not only provide essential services and goods but also foster environments where individuals can connect, learn, and grow. The Harvest Prayer Room stands as a sanctuary for those seeking spiritual solace and communal connection.

Our local roots have strengthened our global vision. Based in Columbus, GA, Harvest Movement is now setting its sights on international horizons, aiming to replicate our successful community-focused model of ministry and impact in cities around the world.
